Sad! A teenager chased to death

What was intended to be a fine traditional display turned out awry when a masquerader was reported to have chased a frightful 14 year old boy into the path of a fast moving vehicle that eventually killed him.

The incident occurred on the Onitsha-Owerri  axis also harboring a nearby police station.

The offending masquerader, also known as Okorosha was said to have ran into a group of other masqueraders making identification difficult.

A confirmation of the incident has been made by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem , Residence however hinged the blame on the door steps of the traditional rulers who allow the masquerades and their entourage of drummers to roam the streets  without proper guidelines .

Home of Lizadrellah thinks the Imo States government can take a cue from it’s Lagos State counterpart that restricts movement of major Masquerades such as the Eyo to a confined space.
